Recycling

Published by at 10:38 am under City Life,Random Thoughts

The recycling has really gotten degenerate these days. It consists almost entirely of wine bottles, with the occasional mineral water bottle and empty jars of olives and artichokes and other assorted delicacies. Granted, the wine is pretty good stuff – no Night Train or Thunderbird (yet) – but it’s really the quantity and not the quality that’s disturbing in this case. Garbage (and recycling) are quite revealing, aren’t they?

I wonder if the recycling collectors look at the dissolute collection with disdain, or wonder where the party is, or don’t even think about it. Probably the last option: just imagine what recycling and garbage guys must see. They’re undoubtedly some of the most jaded people on the planet.

Happy Easter Suzy-Girl. I have missed you – where have you been? All this time and you talk about recycling *lol*. I hope that is not what your life consists of these days. Fess up now – what have you been up to?

Everytime I see the neighbours recycling (which is over flowing with any empty alcoholic beverage) I think the same thing. You have to wonder what the recycling people think.

I have always felt the same way, epecially about recycling. Does the recycling man think I am an alcoholic? Etc . . . I feel bad for our garbage man. He has to deal with Elle’s week old diapers. Poor guy ;-p

Sounds like the poubelle of the good life to me . . sure better than fast food wrappers and empty cans of cheez-whiz.

Michelle – thanks. Not up to much, other than filling up the recycling bin!

Ah, the joys of living in a bottle deposit state, it’s just the guys at the Merchant’s Warehouse I have to worry about and since they’re usually the ones helping me pick out the beer, they know how much I drink. 😉 BTW, Suzy, next time you’re at the wine store would you mind looking for a red wine called Tikal? Can’t get it in Michigan and with our antiquated laws we can’t even ship, but I might be able to drive and pick it up myself, if I knew it was out there. Thanks and Happy Easter! Love ya!
