The Quickie House Post

Published by at 12:32 pm under House,Uncategorized

I’m coming to you from the Company Store in Fort Bragg (the big town, where they keep the DMV, Safeway, etc.). I only have a couple of minutes because Megan will be back any second and we’re due to go and see the puppies. I have a post about the beach, but I know you’d rather see pictures of my new house, so I’ll post and run.

The internet hasn’t been working at the house, but I don’t want to bug the landlords because tomorrow is the funeral fiesta for Rose, and they have other things on their mind than my lack of internet access.

Keep in mind that there’s still a lot of work to do. Be nice!

Front view. The area to the left will have a floor and siding to house The Boxes!

Kitchen – the stove will be put back and the hole in the wall is for the microwave. All the furniture, etc., will be cleaned out.

In the sleeping loft, looking out to the balcony (the railings still have to be put up).

Looks airy and I love the ceiling. Do you have much room in the living room? How nice that you are so close to your sister & b-i-l’s home.
I do hope that you will be happy in your new abode. I bet you are looking forward to putting in your own furniture.

I love it, what a nice place you will have Suzy this place has character and charm, I’m real happy for you, I would love to own such a place, seems so spiritual especially the shot of the house itself, good for you.

It is cute and has character. You guys can come and visit any time. I have a sofa bed!

Not much room in the living room, but the high ceilings make a big difference.

I heard that Mark has put gravel all over the front, which is awesome – will keep down the puff dust (summer) and mud (winter).

That is such a great creative space! I think you’ll have to become a writer living there, just because that is what such a house demands. =)

I agree with Lisa…get ready to write the great American novel. It also looks like a great place to chop a lot of wood. Do you have a fireplace?

I’ve chopped plenty of wood up there! I don’t have a fireplace, but my sister heats her house with a wood stove. So I’ll still get some practice. 🙂

Can I get a ghost writer for the great American novel?
