The Miracle
You have to see it to believe it!
Audrey was sleeping on one side of the bed, and Clyde was on the other. I was putting laundry away when I saw Audrey get up and walk over to Clyde. Instead of the hissing and cuffing I expected, she sat down right next to him:
And started giving him a bath:
At this point, I ran to get the camera, hoping that they wouldn’t, in the perverse manner of cats, stop being cute before I captured said cuteness for posterity.
They didn’t:
In fact, they stayed like this for hours:
Of course, all bets were off once they woke up. Audrey went back to her usual growling and Clyde ran away as usual. But maybe, just maybe, it was a breakthrough in their relationship. After all, Audrey approached him first.

This is wonderful……I do hope it continues & if Audrey was the instigator – it should… So very pleased …..where was Roscoe all this time? Great that you could get these photos.

I think Roscoe was in the bed by the heater. Though he could have been outside playing. Somehow I always expect them to do the same thing at the same time.
YAY!!!! Fingers crossed they learn to love each other. Nothing cuter than cats cuddling. (maybe kittens cuddling)
As I said in one of your earlier blog entry, Audrey will eventually adjust and not only make friends but protect the new kittens, it’s in her instinct, she just puts up a front, after all she is the elder in this family.
It just takes time.
Not to dampen your hopes – but Kitty occasionally tolerated cuddling Bernoulli when he was a kitten, but once he grew i[, that was the end of that. Now getting them within 6″ of each other is a major cause for celebration. Hopefully your beasties will be different!
I can’t believe they slept that long!
