First/Last

Today, my trainer was telling me that your face is the first place you lose weight, but the last place you gain it. Or, as she put it:

“If your face is fat, your ass is already there.”

Words of wisdom, n’est-ce pas?

And speaking of words: why do “flammable” and “inflammable” mean the same thing? Despite a perfectly useless degree in linguistics, I have no idea.

I went for my fitness assessment today – I am “poor” but not a lost cause *lol*. When I begin my training schedule, my body will be that of a 45 yr old, my face that of a 35 yr old and when I loose weight, my face could end up being that of a 60 yr old *rofl*. I had better not loose too much weight in my face – I want the tummy and arse to GO!

    Bugger my face is fat.

Isn’t inflammable, like really really flammable.

  3. Kim Says:

Interesting tidbit; that is why you always see only the word “flammable” on products. Too many people assume ‘inflammable’ means the opposite; ‘non flammable’

Your trainer’s wrong, at least for me. The last place I gain it would be the boobs, but it’s the first place to go. ;-(

  5. Tam Says:

I hadn’t heard that. Good to know!

  6. Aim Says:

Ack, Kathleen! Nobody wants their boobs to go!

PS. I find it awfully amusing that stutter has a double t in it, and lisp has an s in it.
