Disturbing, Part 2

Published by at 10:41 am under Uncategorized

I find this weird: new boss has four, count ’em, 4, pictures of his kids in his office, but none at all of his wife.

I also find this weird: while his daughter has the ordinary-to-overly popular name of Chloe, his son is named Ruggles. Undoubtedly it’s somebody’s last name (Maiden name? Kiss-up to rich relative? You decide), but it seems to me to be a name for a dog. For some reason, a small, scruffy, terrier-type dog springs to mind.

Perhaps the wife refuses to allow him to put one up? I think that’s weird too. Then again, I have pictures of Steve everywhere.

I once knew someone who had a picture of her brother and her dogs on display in her office, but no husband picture. Thought that was weird too. Eventually husband had an affair and they divorced. Didn’t really shock me.

Are you serious – Ruggles? That’s his official name? That’s what is on his birth certificate? Poor kid. Makes me think of Fraggles.

I don’t have a picture of my husband-like guy but he works across the hall from me so I can just pop over and see the real thing instead. =)

I used to visit a psychitrist’s office with my daughter who had a severe mental illness. This dr. displayed a huge black and white, sort of glamour shot, photo of his beautiful wife on his desk FACING OUT toward the guest chairs. Accompanying the photo were the same b/w professional photo’s of his two beautiful daughters.

It felt as tho he was saying- “and here is MY (me, me, me) perfect, illness-free family. It was also interesting because the three of them were so much more attractive than he was. Maybe he cut the pictures out of a magazine? Hey, terrific idea! In fact, one could have, so to speak, a husband a week!

Ruggles? Dear God. They should be shot. Do they realise what that poor kid is going to have to deal with in life? It is so a small, yappy terrier like dog name!!! Can you smack him for me? And maybe he just happens to like his kids more than his wife?

Hahaha, it does sound like a terrier. And a Fraggle! ROFL!

It really is his name – there’s one of his drawings on the office wall and it’s signed Ruggles!

Poor kid. I hope he changes it as soon as he is old enough too. Hope the job is going well Suzy.

Ruggles is a future rock star name. Of course he has to have a cool last name too. Something like McSweeny or McGiver works well……or he could be a terrier too. 😉
