but... but... moving to New Brunswick would be ok, right? because I seem to remember you loved maine, and like John said in his post "It's practically Maine!"

:)

then again - after all those instances, I'd be staying out of it too!

Wow! That's horrible! I always thought that if a Canadian and an American married and got the proper citizenships that they could move and work freely between the two countries - shows what I know.

I flew through Toronto too the other day and the airport is a DISASTER. They really need to finish construction, what a mess. And the US departures area is like a tiny holding pen of panic and suffering.

They really need to set things up so you can bypass Cdn customs if you are just connecting to another country. I understand why they have to do it becuase once you exit customs you could walk out of the airport if you wanted so they have to check you really but it's a drag. The customs guys are always really friendly to me and the US customs guys are usually the gruff ones.

Yikes! Reminds me of our move to Canada which was stupidly simple at Immigration with the exception that the official told Shawn that if he tried to work, tried to work even for five minutes, until his residency application was approved ... he'd be hauled off in shackles and deported. Charming!
